Michael Phelps Announces Retirement Livestream: Retiring After Rio Olympics 2016

Michael Phelps Announces Retirement Livestream“I’m not doing 4 more years.” Those are the exact words Michael Phelps said to his fans in a livestream. This time, he’s serious.

Phelps just crushed my dreams of ever seeing him swim in Tokyo for the 2020 Olympics.

The swimming superstar announced his retirement from the game on a livestream.

He was talking with his fans and the question of his return to the Olympic games for 2020 came up. This time, Phelps was certain that he was not coming back.

It’s definitely not the first time he has called it quits. He “retired” in 2012 after the games in London. But this time, he’s not the boy who cried wolf, he’s actually doing it.

Such a shame. What do you think of Michael Phelps quitting swimming FOR GOOD? Let me know in the comments below and don’t forget to subscribe.
