The video was shot at Chamonix, Mer De Glace area, the longest glacier in France.

Eagles are admired in cultures all over the world as symbols of power and freedom.

Facts about the eagle:

1) There are more than 60 different species of eagle.

2) Eagles can see five different colours, while humans can only see three.

3) The older sibling usually kills its younger siblings when they hatch. Adults do not intervene.

4) The Harpy Eagle and Philippine Eagle have wings that spread 2.5m across. They can kill deer and monkeys.

5) In Greece, Golden Eagles eat turtles and drop them from high places to break open their shells.

6) Bald Eagles fly dangerously in the air to attract a mate. Including locking talons with another eagle and free-falling then letting go before they hit the ground.
