Following a months-long drought, One Direction has reunited at the Brit Awards. Sort of.
Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson represented the band at the awards ceremony where they are nominated for British Artist Video for “Drag Me Down.” AND WON!
While accepting the award they mentioned that Directioners are awesome. “Wow, it really is times like these and events like these that prove to us we have the best fans in the world,” Liam said to a cheering crowd.
The video was filmed at NASA’s Johnson Space Centre in Houston, Texas. It was spectacular and everything Directoners around the world were hoping for.
The song was their first single following Zayn Malik’s departure from the band. Zayn is now enjoying success as a solo artist.
One Direction was nominated for the British Group award, but Coldplay took the spot. While accepting the award, Chris Martin snubbed Louis and replaced him with Zayn, who left the band. The front man turned to the rest of his group and said, “We want to thank you so much. What a treat! From Harry, Zayn, Liam and me Niall we are very grateful.”
LiLo presented the award for Best Female and Adele won. While she was accepting her award she dedicated it to Kesha, “I’d also like to take this moment to publicly support Kesha,’ she said while accepting the award for British Female Solo Artist.
