As you may have seen from my other video, Jennifer Lawrence was, what some would consider rude to a foreign journalist at the Golden Globes.
A foreign reporter – who was reportedly on his phone – asked, “How did you see yourself?” Jennifer Lawrence interrupted, “You can’t live your whole life behind your phone, bro? Huh.You just gotta, you gotta live in the now.”
Some argued that the journalist was simply reading the translation of the question from his phone.
The reporter tried again, “How do you see yourself at the Oscar night?” Lawrence interrupted again, “We’re at the Golden Globes. If you put your phone down, you’d know that.”
But, for those who were there, knew that the journalist was allegedly filming his interaction with Jennifer Lawrence.
Anne Hathaway came to her defence in a Facebook post.
“It’s become pretty clear that the Jennifer Lawrence ‘scolding’ was taken out of context and that she was dryly joking with a journalist who was indeed using his phone to take photos of her. Let’s not continue the sad but common practice of building people – especially women – up just to viciously tear them down when we perceive them to have misstepped.”
While she does raise a good point, we have to admit there is some bias as she signs the post
A J-Law fan”
